Despair

Maybe I am getting older but my general despair at the state of the country/world is increasing.

Why are people so awful to each other? My particular pet hate at the moment is selfishness. I am finding it harder and harder to tolerate this trait in people. When you spend the your whole day with someone who is selfish and arrogant it really drags you down. Of course the worst part of it is because they are arrogant it doesnt even occur to them that they might be doing anything wrong.

I won't be beaten though. I will keep smiling and killing them with kindness.

Right rant over, bed time.

Home- mission complete

Made it! 13hrs coming back. The bike performed really well. Only issue was the exhaust and that's my fault because I missed those nuts when I checked the others before the trip.

So bottom line, nothing wrong with Chinese scooters if you follow advice given and look after them. Go on you know you want one. :-)

Last stop

Stopped near Buxton. Hopefully this will be the last before home. Went all the way from Kendal to here. My bum hurts!

Lunchtime

Lunch stop in Kendal. Didn't bother with Carlisle, as I had to stop and fix the bike. Lost a bolt fom the exhaust manifold. Luckily every village seems to have a hardware store. Nice man gave me a temp replacement for free.

The Return Trip (2hrs in)

Morning all. Started early today and am already at Dumfries. Very cold coming through the Cumnock hills. Next stop Carlisle.

The Morning After

Aarrrgggh! Can't believe I was awake at 7am! Expected to be sore today but surprisingly I'm not.

Sorted out the timeline and the double posts to facebook. (so much for last minute ideas)

Right better get up and start the day. Going to get the ped out and go and explore the old home town.
